 The Royal Palace of Amsterdam rests on 13,659 wooden piles. It was built in the 17th century as the city's town hall. |
 Nationaal Monument op de Dam (National Monument on Dam Square). A national Remembrance of the Dead ceremony is held at the monument every year. It is situated opposite to the Royal Palace. Dam Square is the historic centre of Amsterdam. |
 Amsterdam Euronext. The Beurs van Berlage (The former building of the Stock Exchange) is to the left but it was being renovated when I visited. |
